Websites Use Technology

We see technology everywhere, but technology is also places that we cannot see.  There are a lot of intricate web sites on the internet today and behind the scenes there is a major network of codes and statements being accessed every second you are viewing them.  This is technology at it’s finest.  Technology isn’t only about gadgets that you can feel or see, these days, it’s about what you cannot see.

Let’s take eBay for example.  They have such a huge web site.  The databases used to run a site that large are so complex you wouldn’t even know it if they told you.  And now with eBay adding features to search and stores for businesses, the databases get even bigger.  Basically the more features a web site has, the more code they have to layout to run everything smoothly so that you can win the auction for a stamp from 1904.

Other websites like Youtube.com and various websites that stream television or movies are also louded with technology.  The amount of what goes on in the background is amazing.  If you know of any other websites that you think use a large amount of technology, please feel free to leave a comment.
