Microsoft and Yahoo Battle It Out
Battle what out you ask? If you haven’t read or heard anything about Microsoft wanting to buy Yahoo, where have you been? Microsoft has been bidding on Yahoo for some time now and I think the last bid was around $47 billion. Now that is a lot of cheese I must say.
Why didn’t Yahoo accept that bid? Well, let’s just say Yahoo thinks they are worth at least $53 billion. Yes, that is right, they are squabbling over a small amount like $6 billion! How tough it must be.
I also read there is a rumor Microsoft wants to buy Yahoo AND Facebook. I think it would be the only move that Microsoft could make that would help them against Google. Now that Google has their own social networkcoming out, called Friend Connect, Microsoft, Yahoo and Facebook all have something to worry about.
There hasn’t been a single thing that Google has made that doesn’t rock. It will be interesting to see how it goes in the next months, but I just don’t see Microsoftbeing able enough to afford Facebook at this point. Just my opinion of course.
