Has Technology Ruined Children Today?
I just got done reading a story on MSBC.com about how technology has ruined kids today. I think the article has made some good points.
Most likely these same kids are texting snarky comments about the latest brat featured on “My Super Sweet 16,” and downloading MP3s on their video iPods while hanging out with friends in cyberspace. Which is sad, really. What these kids should be doing is spending hours after school with their friends making crank phone calls to numbers randomly dialed or picked from the phone book. But they can’t — and not because they never heard of Prince Albert in a can. And that’s because of technology.
Kids these days have it rough, just ask them. If they can’t play Xbox afterschool it’s like the end of the world to them. I am not that old, ony 28, but I remember never even being in the house until it was dark out, and even then I didn’t want to come in from the yard!
Technology has been great over the years, television, cars, cellphones, video games and etc. But it certainly has made it difficult for life as well. Stress from having to get your computer fixed or your cellphone has no signal or even video games blamed for obescity/violence problems.
