Just when you thought your power grid was safe. Internet hackers have been able to hack into power grids via the internet and shut them down. The cities that have been affected are outside the US and the CIA claims the reason behind the attacks is extortion.
What would a hacker or group of hackers get from shutting off the power to major cities? Well, if the cities don’t have a plan in place or IT specialists to restart the power grid, they might be able to get millions. But do you actually think they wouldn’t be hunted like bucks in the midwest after the money exchanges hands?
