Sony announced Thursday that it will end shipments to the Japanese market of the 20GB and 60GB versions of its struggling PlayStation 3 console this month.

That is too bad considering they could never really sell more of them to catch up to the 3.6 million Wii’s that sold in the Japan market.  Guess it sort of sounds like Playstation is throwing up the white flag to Nintendo.
