Halo 3 is smashing industry records
Over 600,000 users signed into the Halo 3 online lobby at a time. That is nuts. The population of the city that I live NEAR is only 50,000. People all over the world were unplugging their systems to play the much anticipated game before the official release date. Stores were selling the games at least 1 day in advance in some areas, causing a major ruckus and forcing Microsoft to threaten bans on anyone logging into the system before the official date of release.
People buying the sacred discs early only had one thing in mind, Halo 3 NOW! Just unplug your system and you were set to preview the action. I normally would be against things like this, hiding and sneaking around a big company’s threat, but it’s nice to see that some people are trying to get away with things like this.
