Back to School Soon Here are Some Gadgets

Everyone knows that once summer starts, the beginning of school is right around the corner.  College is back into full swing and highschools are buzzing again with the latest and greatest gadgets.

Here are a couple that are must haves for when you go back to school in the fall.  The first thing I would recommend for any college student is a laptop.  Once you have one of these you are able to get out and about, but still able to write that report due in the morning.  I am a Dell nut, so I would recommend starting at the Dell.com website and going from there.  You certainly do not need a laptop as powerful as your desktop, but some people like to have the all-in-one package.

Geeks.com also has just about little gadget that you can think you need, or don’t need for that matter.  Another gadget that is a must have, if you don’t already have it, is the Apple iPod.  This will allow you to keep the tunes flowing through your brain and your mood upbeat.  You can do all this and won’t have to stay inside to do it.  Apple iPod allows you to have music on the run.

And of course, don’t forget Microsoft Office 2007. It is certainly worth the update. And if you are trying to find it for free on the web, good luck. Microsoft is making it harder and harder to find free copies that have all the features available. Every copy will check to make sure it’s genuine. I am sure there is a way around it, there always is if you know the right people.

Cell phones are also quite a big deal. You can never go wrong with one. I recommend Tracfone for the emergency type phone to have, or if you do very little calling. Might be better for the highschool kid whos parents control the minutes. If you are in college, you most likely call a lot more on your phone. Some packages work out great for that if you are in the big city. But if you are in the sticks at a smaller college, be sure you know what you are buying and if it will work where you are located.
