Dual Monitor Setup
Have you ever set up an additional monitor with your computer? Ever think that you could do twice as much online as you already are? I didn’t think I would ever be able to cram more things to do online than I already do, but I was wrong.
I recently added a 2nd 17 inch flat panel monitor to my desk. I can’t believe I didn’t do this sooner. Now I can take care of all of my graphic and website editing on one monitor while I surf the net, update my blogs and buy things on ebay on the other monitor! It’s awesome.
If you don’t know how to set up another monitor, the first thing you need to know is if your video graphics card can handle it. Take a look at the back of your computer tower and see if you have another “S-video” or “HDMI” output available. If you do, you are good to go. I tested it with an older monitor that I had lying around just to make sure it would work before I spent the money on another 17 inch flat panel.

Once you have the 2nd on plugged in you can go into your display settings and choose to “extend your desktop onto this monitor” (monitor 2). Once you have that all set, you can click and drag things onto your 2nd monitor and now you can multi-task like everyone else has been for the last 10 years.
